You say "we will never know". I think the opposite. There are thousands of people -outside of players and coaches-working in the NFL. If the games were fixed-which is what you are really saying-it would be discovered easily and the NFL would be ruined. Whatever wrong calls are being made speaks more to the competence of the ref as opposed to intentional maliciousness that would border on a felony.
