6 or 7 weeks to install a new offense? lol IIRC the Rams tried to run McDaniels' offense despite the fact that they really didn't know what the were doing. And also going on memory, the Rams basically abandoned that offense early in the season an went back to what they knew (not that that helped any).
As far as McDaniels getting fired after one year: HC Spagnuolo and GM Billy Devaney were fired after the 2011 season so it's no surprise that McDaniels got swept up in the housecleaning, too.
He wasn't fired by the Rams. They released him from his contract.
