You see it every week in the NFL with this run it to burn clock, punt, and lose.
It happens over and over but coaches continue to do it.
I just don't see as many times where one incomplete pass to stop the clock is the reason for the loss as much as I see a team just run it and punt it to try to burn a few more seconds being the reason for a loss.
I think my favorite Belicheck moment is when he lost to the Colts going for it on 4th down because he wanted to close out the game. He took heat for it, but he doesn't care about the heat and this is why he is the best of the best. He goes with what he thinks and doesn't worry about everybody else.

Even in this failure how this worked out this time, he has played it that way forever and this is what makes him great!
