Reid and Cowher and Schottenheimer and many others were also heavily criticized for their lack of winning it all. Reid finally broke through but Philly gave up on him as good as he was. Chargers dumped Schottenheimer after a 14-2 season because he failed again to get out of the first round.
McVay is great and I hope he gets it figured out. But choking away important games is starting to pile up on him. Not a good look and now there is a TON of pressure to win next week. Not that there wasn't pressure before but to close out the season with two straight losses, both to division rivals, would put a very sever damper on this season.
His ultra expensive "fix" at QB will have amounted to very little and that reflects on his decision making. It takes a lot to build up equity but you blow a couple of major deals and you're going to get yourself in trouble.
