No coach excites me. I think it’s a generational thing. (My apologies to millennials and zoomers.) But the young generation is a tad soft, so if you don’t go hire an old crusty guy like Mike Zimmer and you can’t find Kyle Shanahan’s twin or some other kid raised by an ex marine who coached a run dominant team to a super bowl, then you’re looking at McVay 2.0. But that new version of McVay probably won’t have the organizational prowess or people skills.
I think you have to ride out McVay and pray he grows into Lombardi (not the trophy, the hard arse run to daylight guy).
For QB, the only thing I’d do is trade Stafford for Justin Herbert and that’s not going to happen.
