There are plenty of QB's who would replicate what Stafford has devolved into. For an "all-in", one year shot I'd have preferred Rodgers. More long term, there is Watson. No other consideration, Herbert, Burrow and many others. But as tied to Goff as I thought we were, we're even more so to Stafford.
If McVay loses in the first round, I think his seat actually starts warming up. In a vacuum, you can't argue with his success. But he's forfeited a lot of depth, future and salary cap to bring home a winner and if a first round exit is all he can deliver, especially with all the resources he's been given, you can't help but question his capability to deliver a top team.
Especially in the manner we got beat. That was just an embarrassing mental and physical beat down.
