Fisher had all losing seasons but I do agree he did some good things. He got us Gurley and Donald and the special teams had some mojo.
but that offense was the eye sore of a century. We were like pushing all time worse in many categories and it seemed to get worse each year. Hence, the junior high offense comments from players.
Those were some frustrating times and so hard to watch. It was like a physics experiment if you ran 22 bodies into the same space with a collision what would happen. The only time I have seen the battered runningback syndrome which is what happened to Gurley and one of the reasons his shining light burned out quickly in his career. You go wreck a car every week and see how your body holds up.
Overall coaching I think Fisher had some A's, B's, and C's but that F- on offense brought the team down to a C- or D+ team which is why I scratch my head of the complains about McVay and this wonderful offense. Any mishap and we have to hear, the bring back the Fisher crash testing offense approach which rarely works and in today's world is almost obsolete. You win in the NFL by being unpredictable and managing space in both the passing game and running game, but in the end Passing Wins and you need to Pass to beat the good teams because the opponents are going to move the ball regardless how good your defense is and you have to move the ball too to stay in the game.
