Well, his theory is that Ramsey was upset with Rapp because he was out of alignment. Just because he had the depth yardage wrong doesn't invalidate the theory.
read it again---it is his thesis, that the depth was the reason for the Ramsey anger
and next, we don't know it was even about alignment--with two TEs on that side it could have been
who was to match what route
We know nothing
What is it you're arguing against? Ramsey was clearly upset with Rapp before the punch happened and this guy tracked it back to this point on video. The specific alignment doesn't really matter. Ramsey thought Rapp was wrong about something.
We don't know which one was right since we don't know the play call or the assignments but if we take what happened before the play and then what happened on the sideline after the series, we can reasonably surmise that Rapp was wrong.
So, what's the contention? Is there any debate that Ramsey called out Rapp and embarrassed him? I don't think so. The only real question is did it straighten him out and has it been an ongoing problem that came to a head in that moment?
