Rapp may very well be in the wrong. Maybe he's been in the wrong 17 times. But it's a veteran leadership failure on Ramsey's part to get into a scuffle with a teammate in your own huddle. It just is. It's not passionate or "two competitors" or admirable or excusable in any way. I hope McVay and Morris dealt with it behind the scenes.
Agreed 93 and I am sure they did deal with it and we will never really know the truth. We will only know what they want us to know. lol
Ramsey was wrong for doing that in the middle of a drive though. There is a time and a place to settle your issues and in the middle of a drive is not one of them!
I gotta admit that I do like to see the emotion in our guys. Too many times they just seem to be going through the motions. I want to see my guys get p#ssed off when they need to. However, it would be better to direct that fire towards the enemy. lol
How many times have we seen AD loose his cool in the heat of battle? IMO, Ramsey has that same kind of "fire" in him. They both are super competitors. Just like with AD's "outbursts", I won't hold this against Ramsey either. Both of these guys wear their emotions on their hornless sleeves. lol
Ramsey AND AD both ARE leaders. There is no doubt in my mind about that. I don't see this as a "leadership failure" at all. Even the best leaders can have moments like this because of their passion for winning.
It's not like Ramsey gave Rapp a Tiger Driver 98 or something. After watching the tape it looks more like Ramsey was trying to remove a piece of sod from Rapp's face mask so he could see better! He might have been trying to help him!
In fact, if this somehow makes Rapp play a little better, it just might have been a good thing!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
