I don't believe that you're correct on this.
I've never heard ANY representative of ANY of the vaccine manufacturers claim that their vaccine prevents infection or prevents a vaccinated person from getting infected and infecting others.
The only thing that they offered was that the vaccines had a very high probability of keeping a vaccinated person from severe illness (i.e. keeping them out of the hospital). I believe that you see this bearing out today with respect to who's in the hospital with Covid - it's almost all unvaccinated.
Now, despite this, the vaccines DID do a good job at preventing infection - at first. But that was before the Delta variant came out and the manufacturers confirmed that the effectiveness of the vaccines waned. This why the began to promote the booster shot. But even with the booster, I don't believe that they're claiming that you won't get infected.
This goes along with the current topic of players getting infected, but remaining asymptomatic. When I first heard of the coronavirus and saw some of the models, I gave myself a 60% chance of becoming infected. Now, even after being fully vaxxed, I give myself a 50% chance. And I'm OK with this. I just don't want to infect others or end up in the hospital.
