. Stafford was successful at the time and there was nothing wrong with concluding that he had been a success "so far"..
Never mind the rest of your rant, which I deleted.
You can never judge a trade until more of the facts are in. The price Rams paid was heavy. And stafford has one job. To win a Super Bowl
I give him 2 years. You CAN NOT judge at trade after 4 weeks. Or 11 weeks. Or likely not a year.
You have to weight the value of 2 #1s and a #3 and so on
It take time. You are simply to much in a hurry to get an answer to a question that is unanswerable at this time.
So, you give him 2 years but you also think I was already wrong? Which is it? But, I don't agree anyway. The Rams' success lay in the fact that they moved on from Goff. It really didn't matter who they replaced him with. Whether or not Stafford is successful with the Rams is still up in the air but you still don't understand the point apparently.
If a SB win is the only barometer for success in your evaluation, I think your expectations are unrealistic. There have only been 7 different QB's in the past 10 years to win the SB. On top of that, how do you quantify what the Rams would have had with those picks?
In '99, after 11 games, Warner had 29TD and 7INT. Stafford this year has 27/9. So, a tick off of the greatest year of a HOF QB seems successful. So far.
