I have a handful of ideas I wish I could see materialize with McVay, but since a leopard can’t change his spots, I think the best ploy for now is let McVay go pass happy, but match that with a defensive scheme that’s on the clock. I’d give Morris 4 minutes per drive, not a second more.
If the defense has been out on the field for 3 minutes and 45 seconds, then Morris is forced to call a cover zero max blitz.
He’s got to keep his offense warmed up and doesn’t have time for Morris dilly dallying around.
