In the past couple of decades, there have been players / ex players raising the alarm of head injuries.......Legal actions have been taken......LOTS of fingers pointed at the NFL. WELLLLLLL????????? The past couple of decades, the NFL has added SOOOOOOOOO many rules and "tweaked" a double number TOOOOOO DEATH! Players love it when the Refs let them play. NFL USED to do that back in the 70s and 80s. The numbers speak for themselves. Watch ANY game from 30-40+ years ago and you MIGHT see a TOTAL of 10 flags a game. These days????? It's nothing to see 4-6 on one drive.
Many of the flags these days ultimately are about player safety. Players need to ask themselves. What do they really want??? I'm sure the NFL would / could lighten up the rules. But when the injuries start, the players just cannot point fingers.
My ex Brother In Law (RIP) Reffed High School games. He said he gained a new respect for what has to be enforced.
I'm not backing CRAP Officiating. Just pointing out why it sucks.
