What in the world would OBJ bring to the Rams except a bad attitude and a large expense?
They just jettisoned an unhappy camper, and now they're supposed to take on another one?
The Rams 3 WRs that have proved they can each operate at every level of the field: horizontal and vertical. They can all take the top off the defense. And they haven't even deployed the fastest WR they have yet: Harris.
If OBJ was there and the Rams had some devastating season ending injury to Kupp or Woods, perhaps. But not necessarily.
OBJ wants money and attention. None of that fits with the Rams current situation.
McVay is just smart enough to say nice things about OBJ so that should they ever face him OBJ doesn't get any extra motivation. But, it's also just McVay's nature to be complimentary and respectful. Besides, McVay always says the opposite about what might be going on. Remember that he said over and over that there will be no big splash trades or signings? And then BOOM! Von Miller. Which Snead admits was in discussion for several weeks.
I would think if any team might be seriously interested it would be a team like the Raiders who has lost Ruggs permanently.... like in will never play NFL football again.
