Jackson was not done wrong in any way and by anyone.... Jackson played in 8 games and 240 snaps over the past two years. Given that and at 34, his role was not going to be a go-to guy in any way, shape or form. He is not better at this stage than Kupp, Woods OR Jefferson. The Rams needed a WR4 with deep speed and he fit the bill well. And that role comes with playing about 23% of the snaps- which he did. I'm glad his whining did not play at Rams Park.
My guess is Jackson went in knowing he'd be limited, perhaps with the assumption he'd be a rotational #3 man, perhaps not. But when he discovered that he still had the speed and ability to get open and break long TD's his perspective changed and he assumed he'd be moved up in the depth chart. But as we know McVay has a plan and he typically sticks to it unless otherwise convinced. Nothing happened to convince McVay he should reduce the other WR's playing time. Especially with Woods questioning his involvement as well. So it became "Get on board or get out of the way".
