RAMbler
....for all the reasons you mentioned.
He has honed his craft against NFL caliber defenses for well over a decade. At 33 he is still strong, and now with a team and coach who can tap all of his experience.
And on top of that.... he's hungry!
I look forward to the time when McVay elevates Stafford beyond "rocket ball". He's doing very well and is the #1 rated passer still playing this year. But I envision a time when he relies less on arm strength reliant throws and more on cerebral throws. Not that he doesn't exhibit some of that already but I look at Brady and hope Stafford can get to that level where he is beating the opposition with his brain more often than his arm.
I hope once he becomes comfortable in this system, that is what we see. Comparatively speaking, Stafford is much further along that Rodgers or Brady were when they took up new systems so I am pleased and hopeful for what the future holds. If he gets to that level and plays until he's in his 40's, the Rams would get their 10 year QB legacy. Finally.
