not yet. That 1st qtr, and those huge cushions the DB's were giving up still linger in my mind. Maybe when D. Williams returns. I do think the David Long trial is over. Dont'e Deayon seems to always show up when he's in. I suppose they stuck with Long for so long because of the 3rd Rd pick expended on him. I think it'll be Dont'e going forward.
I think the D-Line is coming around nicely, and they seem to be getting good pressure now on pass rush, but I'm not confident in our front 7 on Run D, yet. Jury is still out for me.
Morris came out in the 1st quarter with that same old soft zone bend-not-break crap and the results were predictable. But Morris changed Rapp to hybrid LB in the very early 2nd quarter and look what happened.
Plus the D got a lot more aggressive as in the Staley heyday.
The recent quantum leap of both Lewis and Obo can’t be overstated.
Still some sorting out to do at Safety, but this D is now headed in the right direction, trust me. Took Morris too long to make these changes, but better late than never.
