I would not be surprised if Sean is mentioned in emails, but I would be surprised if he actually said the same kind of things Jon did.

It makes me nervous that the Rams are one of the bullet points that Gruden was venting about. 2014, the year Sam was drafted, was the year Gruden's brother was hired as the Redskins coach and Sean McVay was hired as OC the same year. Just how tied into the Redskins was John Gruden at that time? I could see him venting to his brother but to Allen? Makes me think that he had the ear of many Redskins at the time.
McVay is known to have emulated John Gruden specifically so it's hard to believe that he wasn't hearing these things at the very least. So, how was McVay responding to Gruden's thoughts? Openly disagreeing? Probably not. Going along since his boss was Gruden's brother? Probably. Agreeing, since he was heavily influenced by Gruden? Hopefully not.
And I agree that McVay has not exhibited those types of thoughts and don't imagine he thinks that way. But, how many of us would have said the same thing about Gruden a couple of weeks ago?
