Forgot just how bad Dickerson was

October 14, 2021 06:13AM
That video on Youtube has a link to the 2nd game that year against New Orleans. The Rams won both games but Dickerson was every bit the rookie. I think he fumbled 7 times in those first two games. It's almost hard to believe that Robinson continued to leave him in the game. Especially considering how decent Redden and Alexander looked.

I always wondered if Walsh had become the Rams coach if he would have kept Ferragamo? Obviously, Vince had trouble with interceptions but I always thought it was partly because of scheme and circumstance. Would Walsh's QB friendly scheme have improved Vince's efficiency and lowered his turnovers? Or was Montana uniquely special in that regard and only he could have developed what Walsh was running?

Seems I recall the Rams getting a bad call there in 1985.

That game triggered the Robinson years. Some good times.
