1983 game

October 13, 2021 06:22AM
Season opener for the Rams under John Robinson (and Bill Parcells) and for Eric Dickerson. Ferragamo back at the helm. Premier of the Rams new 3-4 defense. Rams won 16-6 and could have been more but they turned the ball over twice inside the Giants 5-yard line plus Nelson missed an XP and a FG. Fun game and provided me a sigh of relief that the Rams were back to playoff contenders after two down seasons.

Rams have always played well vs the Giants on the road.

Seems I recall the Rams getting a bad call there in 1985.

That game triggered the Robinson years. Some good times.
