Giants were in control. I even remember Madden saying...."As long as they don't do anything dumb". Then Simms throws a pick. Madden said....."Well, they just did something dumb". Right after, Everett hit Flipper for a TD in the closing seconds of the half. That was HUUUGE!
I put that 1989 Rams team right up there with 1999. AAAFREAKINGMAZING they won THREE extreme East Coast trip games in a row! I also say if Lott does not make the play to avert a 10-0 Rams lead in the Title, Rams win that game AND the Super Bowl. That ONE play deflated a mentally tired Rams team.
