That situation with Martz was a perfect storm.. IMO. There was the Vermeil/Martz issue... some deny but I think it was real. I think Dick was offended with so much praise going to Martz and not him for '99... and I think Vermeil SHOULD have been offended. Then there was the Martz/Vermeil thing. Which, and again, I think was no small thing.
My impression of all that was yes, indeed, Martz was a genius.... and also the biggest A'hole that ever came down the pike.
I wonder if the movie will shed some light on this very thing.
