That wasn't supposed to be tongue in cheek. I said it's nonsense because people would rather construct elaborate machinations than accept something as simple as the quarterback and receivers needing more work to get in sync, and the fact that sometimes (shock?) quarterbacks miss throws.

That seems more reasonable to me than wanting there to be some mass cover up behind a few missed passes.
