Excellent post, mokler.
I’ll just add this. It’s my opinion that this O is still gelling together. They have not yet hit their ceiling.
Furthermore, we don’t quite know how high their ceiling now is on O with this McVay/Stafford synergy occurring right before our eyes. I mean, it seems that each player on both O and on D are playing inspired football and feeding off of each other. It’s no longer just AD, Ramsey, Kupp, Whitworth and a few others.
We’re seeing flash after flash from RB’s, Stafford, Jefferson, DJ, Higbee, Floyd, Hollins, Joseph-Day, Young, Reeder, Gay, and so many others.
Heck, even ST looked decent this week.
I’m seeing a TEAM of 53 talented and motivated players playing as one smart unit. (Only ONE penalty).
Yeah, I could nitpick the ‘soft zone’ Morris prefers, but the bottom line speaks for itself. They pretty much abused a very talented and well coached defending SB champion today both offensively and defensively. Color me beyond impressed.
Like everyone else, I had expected a 60 minute cliffhanger that came down to the wire and the winner would benefit from a call, a penalty, or a lucky bounce. But these Rams beat on those Bucs like a rented mule all afternoon leaving no doubt who was the better team today.
And, honestly, I think this Ram team is just getting warmed up. By November they will probably have ironed out the kinks and REALLY be having fun.
Hot Damn!
