Sounds like Gallman was having a good preseason

Gallman rushed 13 times for 60 yards in Sunday's 34-10 preseason win over the Raiders.

Gallman turned in another strong performance to increase his roster bid heading into the regular season. His main competition, JaMycal Hasty, also put on a show (six carries for 55 yards and two touchdowns), so the 49ers will likely have a tough decision on their hands come roster cuts. Gallman is a bruiser between the tackles, and Hasty is more of a shifty, receiving type, so whoever makes the cut likely will be based on team need. Neither player is expected to have a large role on offense behind Raheem Mostert and Trey Sermon come Week 1 against the Lions.
