I even posted that it would be a tough call for McVay to cut Hekker... if for no other reason than the emotional one... BUT... I do NOT think it was that alone, or even mostly.

I don't think McVay does anything that he doesn't consider the best for the team... even when the decision is a hard one... I have no doubt McVay, and company, feel Hekker is well up to the task. - JamesJM
