Re: How can the Rams afford all those players?

From my amateur perspective the Rams seem almost out of the tricky cap situation they got into with Gurley, Goff, etc. The restructurings this spring all certainly helped for 2021. What they also do is provide less flexibility (i.e. no one really left they can restructure) in 2022. But they should be OK. Whitworth is likely done after this season and removing his salary frees up quite a bit. I would imagine an extension happens for Stafford then too which will also help. Hekker? We will soon see.. Even if he's on the team in 2021 I think 2022 is very much up in the air for him.

By the way, Michel's base salary is around $555k which is all the Rams are paying him.

They need one more season of good draft value and modest contract extensions- and someone like Williams will need to be allowed to leave. But while the Rams won't be swimming in cash/cap space next spring they are not in bad shape.
