Yeah, I think Fisher was just awful. A dinosaur.

What is so interesting is how the roster issue has changed. All during the Fisher years, the Rams were hoping to pick up other team's cast-offs to try to built a reasonable roster... sometimes even for starters.

But in the McVay era, it has come to the point that the Rams are having to let some really good players go, some of which are going to land on other team's 53.

Might the Rams pick up a player or two themselves? Sure. But only for depth or way down at the bottom of the roster. This year, I can see only a couple of pick ups: RB and Center/Guard. And in both cases it would be for depth.
