I think he has shown enough to be well worth keeping on the PS. He is talented and is a useful guy to have for when the defense needs to practice against mobile QBs. And maybe, just maybe, P ##erkins could keep developing and be ready to have a direct competition for QB2 with Wolford in 2022.
Wolf has the #2 backup quarterback position locked up.
I laugh at all the Perkins hype on this forum. Perkins is not as good as his hype based on 2 preseason games.
Keep laughing...everyone sees the talent that Perkins has...not sure what you are seeing with Wolford. Perkins has played better in his those 2 preseason games than Goff and Bradford did in their 1st preseason games. Yet those 2 guys started as rookies. You do realize those 2 guys were #1 picks while Perkins is an undrafted free agent....yet he has shown more poise and accuracy than those 2 guys did in their first preseason games.
If Perkins was a top 10 pick....I wonder what you guys would think about his potential after the last 2 preseason games. Perkins preseason stats have been better than or as good as any of the top 10 rookie QBs this year. Some of them will be starting soon.
I don't see the fans of the 49ers, Jets and Bears saying their rookie QB is all hype. It's obvious that Perkins should be the #2 qb on this team based on talent and ability to withstand big hits in the NFL.
