It seems to me Perkins has a very good, athletic upside any HC would want to keep...
And last season, yes, we all got behind Wolford as Goff was hurt. But in truth, isn't Wolford at most another "Colt McCoy 2.0" when comparing his upside with that of Perkins' ??
If John needs to go to a short-term IR or whatever options are available to him to save him for the 53-man, so be it. But while Perkins is quite raw, has a ton to learn, given his skill set we'd all be
if somehow we lost him in trying to sneak him through waivers.
Keep Perkins no matter what, let Wolford, once healthy, chase after him in McVay's mind.
