Maybe you are correct and Allen is damage control because Corbett was not dominating enough to secure the starting center spot.

Allen does deserve a couple of preseason games to show his worth regardless of his 2019 results. (that was a long time ago in NFL years)

I get your drift though about having concerns with Allen should he be the opening day starter and look like Austin Blythe 2.0.

There were a ton of Rams fans that preferred Creed Humphrey or even Quinn Meinerz over Tutu Atwell with their first pick.
