That's a tough deal to work around, moving up in competition from college to pro is one thing, add in changing positions....add in 2-3 weeks of not getting reps.....that sounds red shirt to me, heck even without sitting out that could have been happening. He could get in on ST duty though and would like to see him in that area of play....at least he could get a feel for the speed of the game, and he did do that stuff in college (I think). Isaac started out that way I think and so did Le Roy Irvin, started on punt coverage and return duties before taking actual positions.
