recent Rams history even proves it, if there is one position where a player need not be highly drafted to dominate, or need lots of time in a system to fit in and contribute it is running back. CJ Anderson was enough to get us through playoffs to the Super Bowl that we could have won after sitting on his couch a majority of the season. If the O-Line holds up and performs and everyone else does there are at least 20 running backs we could acquire that would be enough to get the job done. In fact if the Rams had to lose one starter not on special teams I dare say running back would probably be the position. Now long term the Rams need a workhorse back and after Todd my tolerance for injured RBs is lower so a Akers contingency plan will need to be added to the to do list but those are easier to find than a franchise qb.
