They started him in a playoff game last year. He got hurt which infuriated me (the fact he didn't show more care after a Cards game where he took five or more vicious shots to his head) but McVay admitted that he called that QB run.
I think the comfort level with him makes him a lock. He knows the offense cold. Can come in during a game in a pinch and add some scrambling ability and off sched pressure to the opposing defense.
Now maybe Perkins has something to say about that. I'd love to see it too. But Wolf's been working with the Rams' players on his own and the guy seems locked in. I think he's 100% our backup. Barring him suffering some sort of injury prior to cut downs Perkins will have a tough time jumping him on the roster.
