But that's the point with how Bulger was playing. Inconsistency. Ice cold to hot to...? What reason did Martz have to believe that Bulger would remain hot? 6 minutes vs. the entire '03 season and 50+ minutes of that game where he was inconsistent at best. It's easy enough to say go for the win but he didn't necessarily have a QB to warrant such a thing.
And, looking back at the play-by-play, this whole argument is ridiculous. Martz DID give Bulger a chance to win the game. Martz got the Rams to overtime and then put the ball in Bulger's hands and he threw a damn interception!!! WTF is everyone even talking about?
