We'll see about Eitiene (awfully good player). And Corey Davis is a good WR.
But you can add all the other players today and not add up to the impact of Jalen Ramsey and then likely Stafford. Even Goff had a pretty darn good couple of years with multiple playoff wins and a visit to the Superbowl.
1st round picks in the new era of football are overrated. There's so darn many good players coming out of college, that you don't need a top 30 pick to restock a team, if that team is deep enough to allow time for development. The problem is that the teams picking high in the rounds are usually bad teams. They need their top picks to start and produce immediately (some will). But if you have the luxury of time, then you can take lesser known names and allow them time to learn the game, get stronger, and become better players.
I've always like the strategy of trading for proven sure things with top picks. But a GM sure better be good at finding hidden gems.
