It seemed to be quite the change of tone when Jalen Ramsey faked an injury to stay off the field for the Jags, but during contract negotiations with the Rams, he was consistently quoted as quite confident that a deal would be struck. He was even house shopping in Los Angeles during Hard Knocks because he was so certain that the deal would fall into place.

And he played lights out all season.
