Of course he can play center. You don't put a guy in the spot if he can't PLAY the spot.
The question is how well he will play...how good he will be.
And we can't answer that in early June.
My bet is, he will probably be pretty solid.
The question, then, becomes do they keep him with a 2nd contract? Will he be worth 2nd contract money? Or do they risk starting over at the position? I don't think even the Rams know the answer to that yet.
