They're doing the same thing the media does, which is projecting with too much emphasis on last season. If they actually looked a bit deeper there is zero chance Akers isn't in the top half at least. Just looking at that list quickly I'd say he should be in there around 9ish maybe earlier.
My only concern with Akers is his durability. Because he likes the one on one contact and beating that other guy physically. But even with that considered the guy is clearly going to be among the best backs in this league in 2020. Bank it.
