So it would not surprise me. But I don't know how good that would be for our Super Bowl chances. It's ironic that Warner's 2001 season coupled with a Super Bowl loss where the offense struggled. That year's team ran the ball on weak defenses but they weren't too strong a run team.
A strong run game is of enormous benefit to a playoff run. So hopefully the Rams show a ton of balance and Stafford ends up with excellent but not great yardage and a ring.
The run game should be even better this year, Merlin.
Corbett (or somebody) at OC will be an upgrade and the predicted Evans at RG is a road grader.
Moreover, the expected improved pass threat should loosen up D’s which will help Akers/Hendy immensely.
All McVay needs to do is remember to keep a reasonable run/pass balance.
