Natson wasn't near the WR prospect that Atwell is. Natson wasn't drafted. Natson wasn't listed in PFF's Top 300 for 2017
Natson was signed as a free agent returner by the Colts, Jets, and Rams, not a WR. He has 2 receptions as a pro. He's not a pro WR.
Atwell had 4 returns in college. He's a WR first and will get playing time this year.
Other than similar body size, there's very little similar in ability between Natson and Atwell
Atwell is 5'8" 149lbs at time of testing.
Look at the stats and tell me they aren't similar? Jojo was the more accomplished player stats wise scoring more tds more receptions and overall yardage and was a more effective weapon as a rusher, receiver, and return man. Oh yeah he also didn't have recover from a broken back coming into the rams.
Atwell is 160 now. He taped himself while on a scale on draft night.
Natson's stats were so great he wasn't drafted and wasn't even considered a legitimate WR prospect. He was only signed as a returner.
The NFL evaluates players on their projection as a pro player....they don't draft based on stats.
The NFL considers Atwell a legitimate WR prospect....they didn't think the same of Natson. That says it all.
But go ahead and ignore that and just focus on stats.
How did that work out for Tim tebow? Wasn't Jameis winston a 1st pick? What was he like a third string qb last year? I heard Timmy is making a comeback as a TE.
He taped himself on a scale at 160 was that before or after taking a dump?
