I don't see a trade. If he goes, it'll be because they release him

The problem is his very high salary...... about 25% above the next highest paid punter. And in some years, the Rams might be able to absorb it. But this year is unique.

And other teams are not going to want to pay him that. So I just can't see a trade because the contract goes with the player.

Rams will either get him to take an outright pay cut, or more likely, he'll just be let go and he'll go to the highest bidder.
