Yeah, the Niners along with just about everybody else have not done the best recently at QB. Doesn't mean things won't change. But, honestly, giving up a king's ransom of draft picks to get the leftovers after the first 2 QBs are taken doesn't impress me. If they simply had the 3rd pick that would be one thing. But to give up what they did to get there? If it was any other team than the Niners that always get good media play, they'd be hooted and laughed at every day for playing such an expensive game of pig-in-a-poke.
The Rams easily took the most sure route to an elite QB. Yes, it's expensive in draft capital, but barring a catastrophic injury (that you can never factor in) the Rams are set at QB at an elite level for as long as Stafford wants to play for them (let's guess 5 years or so if current trends hold up).
The Niners? QB? Throw a dart at a board.
