Blythe has been told by the Rams that he can go out and get what he's worth and let them know what the price is. There's just no other way to explain how there were eight centers on the market to start free agency and that was before Rodney Hudson became available and the Rams managed to not pick up one. It's actually coming down to us having to HOPE that it is going to be Blythe signing back with us.

If Blythe gets blown away by another teams offer, and the Rams refuse to pay that amount, we could end up actually doing worse than having Blythe at center.

Like Snead said, sometimes it's good having a guy that at least knows the system, has experience, and has gelled playing with the guys around him.

We could do worse than Blythe and I hope it doesn't come down to that.
