How quick we can feel entitled. The Jags keep trying but coming up short. It is really hard to crawl out of the dark hole of being losers.
The Rams were a woeful franchise for a long time. The last winning HC for the Rams before McVay was the Warner-killer Martz who departed in 2005! Then 12 years later along comes McVay and boom..... winners. Now a 10 win season is pedestrian. There is little to no thought from Rams fans that the Rams would even sink to .500.
I guess I've been a Rams fan for so long, and seen it all, that perfection isn't my standard. Winning and having fun doing it is the standard. Sure, I want a Superbowl. And I want an HC and FO that see any season that doesn't result in a Superbowl as a failure because they are hard to satisfy. But for me, I can't look at it that way. Knowing that the Rams can compete with anyone on any given Sunday is kinda nice.
I'm just thankful for the kind of organization we have, the HC we have, the GM we have, the owner we have and the winning team that we have.
