Trumaine had moments where he needed reps to get back in the flow.

Not sure Long has that next level intuition to go with his speed. And that can translate to slow calculating and "thinking too much" versus quick twitch response.
I think Long has the goods, but one would think that they'd have committed more rotations for him if that is true
They do have an investment in his time here now. That said, they are also entering their 3rd DC, and have a new staff in so many spots.
Value wise, one would think he's affordable, and good depth.
The problem seems to be the cap this year
BTW, I wouldn't be so quick to swing Rapp to the back of the rotation. Still has some fine snaps to his credit. All these guys need to stay healthy.
In hindsight, Johnson was more durable than the "new guys"
