Florida_RamYou can point out all the issues and stats you want.
Goff is gone and I'm glad McVay and company made it happen. They are above your pay grade.
Who cares about statistics and intangibles. He's not a Ram anymore. We have a new field general under center.
I'm happy McVay and the Rams brain trust traded him for Stafford on every level.
Time to move on brother.
You have to read posts a lot better than you do. Or--just, read them. Right here, what you jumped in on, that was a discussion of the OL. You know, the 5 blockers on offense.
Did the OL collapse in some games last year. Or were they solid every game.
I accepted the trade immediately and am on record as saying I look forward to seeing Stafford play. I never complained about the trade. Even when some people were dying to fight with guys about the trade so much that they pretended some people were complaining about the trade. Even when some people acted like any critical post about McVay was really about the trade. Even when that silly bs was happening, I never complained about the trade.
But the fact that I am all in on Stafford doesn't mean I have to accept hyperbolic narratives about the past. Both the eyeball test and the numbers say a lot of those narratives are wrong. But then it would be the same if you wanted to post bad narratives about Vermeil, or Bulger, or Gurley. I would question those, too. In this particular case, I am all in on what the eyeballs and numbers both tell us about the Rams 2020 OL--it did not always hold up.
Remember, Stafford needs an OL too. So...figuring out how good it was has a lot to do with the future.
So maybe it's the "tell people what they can post about" police that has to move on.
