I agree that the OL could be more consistent. I also agree that it would be good if they talent to it. (Just like I think it would be good to improve the defense despite it's #1 ranking.)
But I will continue to fight against the narrative that the OL was poor or not one that was in the top half of the league. IOW, improvement is great but let's not exaggerate its weaknesses.
Well you ain't fightin with me then. Cause I didn't say it was poor, I don't exaggerate its limitations, I think it is below top 12 but above the 20s which is around top half of the league. I thought it was solid for the most part but then got its derriere handed to it in some games, so it was inconsistent. Certain kinds of defensive fronts could just handle it. I don't think it is the GSOT OL level, and it's not just cause they don't have Pace, it's cause they also don't have a Timmerman (or that caliber of player at any position other than LOT, I don't just mean OG).
Serviceable a lot of games, as I said solid overall, with some bumps in there.
And we no doubt agree that they have to replace AW sooner or later anyway.
