So they wouldn't have to pay him, but they wouldn't have him on the field and who is their QB at that point? I don't think they have a first round pick this year or next. The awesome legacy of Bill O’Brien.

Jets have 2 firsts, I believe and can send them Darnold as a short term bridge to a rookie QB.
