I’m not a big advocate of psychology personally—seems to work for some/many—but those sports psychologists seem to be exploiting this gray area to the hilt. Quite well could be misappropriated capital on the part of some athletes.

Whatever happened to good ol’ superstition? Davey Concepcion crawling into the team’s dryer to break out of a slump seems to have worked wonders.
